"They're still with us."

High Transit LLC delivered more than 4,000 balsam wreaths to Arlington National Cemetery for Wreaths Across America. The annual holiday event to remember America’s fallen veterans is held in cemeteries across the country in December.

Driver Jason Moore brought the load from Columbia Falls, Maine, to Arlington. “I served my country and I came back,” he said. “There are men and women buried here who didn’t come back, but they are still with us.” His teenage son Bryce rode with him. “My friends think this is really cool and wish they could have come,” Bryce said.

High delivered two other loads totaling more than 8,000 wreaths to Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Lebanon County, Pa.

"This is a fantastic way for us to honor our nation's veterans," said Dino Kondos, High Transit president. "It's an honor to allow a veteran to take a load like this of Christmas wreaths into Arlington National Cemetery."

Dec. 18, 2021 is National Wreaths Across America Day.
